The Orchid Park at Royal Fora Ratchaphruek

We are in Thailand on a package tour, but we have tickets for Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2006. This international horticulture show opened shortly before we arrived in Thailand. Among other displays, the web site boasts that thousands of orchids will be on view. I bought my tickets (at about $2.60 each) before we left home.

We start by visiting the outdoor orchid park, where orchids "grow" from the ground and in the trees in vast profusion. Ok, so it doesn't look "real," but it is still beautiful.
